Soap Displays for a Craft Show
I know I finished the series on craft shows, but I want to spend a little more time talking about displays…mostly because I’m redoing my displays this week and have been thinking a lot about it.
My displays are pretty simple things. They’re just boxes with an easel back. I fill them up with shredded sheet music (to stick with my music theme).
If you don’t have a handy friend to build your boxes you can buy them premade online. Here’s an example from Soapie’s Supplies. I like it because it folds up for easy transport, too. With my displays I have to load and unload the soap into them each time.
Another great way to show off your soap at a craft show is in a tier or stair-step display. Check out this one from Wuhl’s Wares for an idea. You can easily make this yourself by stacking small crates or boxes and covering with attractive fabric, as well.
Finally, one of my favorite ways to display soaps: cake plates! I was at a show once and saw someone selling cupcake-shaped soaps stacked on a cake plate. Adorbz! You can also get multi-tiered cake plates for added height and find some cool vintage ones at thrift stores.
I hope this gives you a few ideas on how to display your soaps at a craft fair. Leave a comment if you’d like to share any ideas on displays.
